NEGAUNEE, Mich. — The Lake Superior Chapter Finlandia Foundation National will be hosting its annual Finn Fun Day on Saturday, August 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be held at the Negaunee Township Hall, located at 42 Highway M-35 in Negaunee Township.
There will be the usual coffee table with all the goodies, along with the opportunity for visiting with old and new friends. Entertainment will consist of musical presentations, including vocals and instruments. Some of the local favorites, including Tanya Stanaway singing and Oscar Forsman with his accordion, will be there along with others.
There may even be some Asahi instructions. New this year will be an auction, providing entertainment, and opportunity to bid and buy various items, such as quilted comforters, tool sets, scenic prints, cookware, foot massager, and much more.
The tori will be open with vendors selling baked goods, carpets, tee shirts just to mention a few of the items that will be available.
We will have the genealogy research and assistance, which has been in big demand at prior events.
The White Elephant table will again be there, and if you have anything to donate towards it, please bring it to the event.
Best of all, the event is free to attend.
