SONOMA, Calif. — The Finnish American Home Association’s annual Perhepiknikki is scheduled for Saturday, August 15. Celebrate with friends and family with a day in the pool, kayak races, sauna, games, grill, snacks, bar, and more. Bring your lawn chair and blankets; overnight camping is available as well.
In September the FAHA Library Committee is sponsoring its second Book & Art Swap and Sale on September 19, a chance to swap out the books and art-work that no longer bring you joy for something new (to you).
And October brings our big fall cultural event, Celebrating Art & Artists at FAHA. This day offers something for everyone: members and residents will be displaying and selling their own art and craft items, we will enjoy the music of the Finlandia Performer of the Year, Ruut, the national dresses will be aired, and Hanna Tikkanen Merk will offer us the rare opportunity to taste and buy wines from the Merk Family Vineyards. And food, pool and sauna, of course!
